- These tiny mushrooms have those Bolas Lassos you see in the movies that wrap around someone's legs as they try to escape from the bad guys. When a drop of rain lands on the ‘splash cups’ of this mushroom, they explode open and send out spiralling tailed spores that wrap around a nearby stem or stick.
