Distribution and habitat preferences

It is endemic to the Eungella range and tends to move out from rainforest to the drier open woodland in the winter months.

It is found only in a small area of plateau rainforest in the Clarke Range west of Mackay in Queensland. It can occasionally be seen foraging on the rainforest margin and adjacent open forest. (Wikipedia).
