Distinguishing features

It has a green bill.  The frontal shield is small and orange.  The iris is brown.  They are olive-brown from heir cap to their mantle and are browner towards the tail.  From the sides of their head to their abdomen, they are a pale slaty grey.  The vent is a dull pink colour.  Legs are yellow. (Simpson and Day)

They are typically found close to a water source.
