Rufous-faced Antpitta - Grallaria erythrotis - TororoĆ Carirrufo - Bolivian Endemic

The world range of Rufous-faced Antpitta - Grallaria erythrotis - is a narrow band of cloud forest in northern and central Bolivia. Within this small home land we found them to be fairly common at points along the old road to Cochabamba, their loud triple note song ringing from the mist covered slopes. This photograph was taken at ISO 4000 with a Canon EF 500mm f/4l IS II USM Lens on an EOS 1DX. I don't usually shoot at that high ISO but the forest was very dark. I think I might have slightly over-sharpened and de-noised the image in Lightroom. Member of the Flickr Bird Brigade Activists for birds and wildlife
