Diet

Most hard corals derive their food from a combination of photosynthesis from the algae living in their tissues, and capturing and eating small prey items. This species has no symbiotic algae (as you can see from the clear tentacles, which would otherwise be green with algae) so if you're a small shrimp or copepod approach at your own risk!
