Presence of this highly invasive plant on Lizard Island was advised by QPWS in March 2011, location not provided.

A Queenland Government alert sheet about this species dated Feb 2010 warns that hand pulling is not recommended as seeds can drop off and increase the area of infestation. That document suggests that herbicides including glyphosate may be appropriate.
