Distribution and habitat preferences

The golden-tipped bat is found in rain forest and adjacent sclerophyll forest. It roosts in abandoned hanging Yellow-throated Scrubwren and Brown Gerygone nests located in rainforest gullies on small first and second order streams. (Wikipedia)
