Southern Roughy (Trachichthys australis), Jervis Bay

A relative of orange roughy (Hoplostethus atlanticus), the fish targeted by deep sea trawls and listed as conservation dependent under the EPBC act. It can be found in shallow waters down to around 1500 m. They live under overhangs around southern Australia.
