Dardanus crassimanus hermit crab #marineexplorer
Plenty of these big hermit crabs on our survey dives today at Shiprock... they don't mind staying out of their shell for a photo either. They are sometimes mistakenly identified as D. lagopodes, which is a tropical species with black eyes.
