Wiry Panic (Entolasia stricta)

Native, warm-season, perennial, erect or ascending, wiry, branching grass to 1.2 m tall; often with relatively few leaves. Found on dry, low fertility (e.g. sandstone and shale) soils. Most abundant in spotted gum and iron bark forests where there is sparse ground cover.
