Rhadinella serperaster: Striped Litter Snake
Juvenile from near San Luis, Costa Rica. This snake was once placed in the genus Rhadinaea, but Myers (2011) suggested resurrecting the genus Rhadinella for it and its close kin. It seems that this group is in need of comprehensive phylogenetic study.
