Pampas Grass (Cortaderia selloana)

Flowerheads are large, plume-like panicles 30-100 cm long; silvery-white to pink, only shortly exerted above the leaves and the central flowerheads longer than those on the margins. Some plants have bisexual flowers (male + female parts) and others only female flowers.
