Prickly Couch Grass (Zoysia macrantha)

Cape Bailey Coastal Walk, Botany Bay National Park, New South Wales -- about 20 km SSE of Sydney. In shallow drift of sand that has acumulated in a hollow in the sandstone platform near cliff edge above the ocean. It's a halophytic grass, common in some kinds of saltmarsh. Its leaves are very sharp-pointed.
