Winter Grass (Poa annua)

Introduced, cool-season, annual, small, tufted grass, usually 5-15 cm tall (rarely to 30 cm). A native of Europe, it is found especially in shady and/or moist disturbed areas with little competition. A minor weed of cultivated land and lawns; more abundant where ground cover is reduced.
