Panic Veldtgrass (Ehrharta erecta)

Tufted yearlong-green perennial grass to 60 cm tall. Stems bases are trailing and often root at the lower nodes. A native of South Africa, it is a weed found in disturbed, moist and shady situations on well drained, lighter soils of disturbed grassy woodlands, forests and riparian vegetation.
