Swamp Dock (Rumex brownii)

Goulburn River National Park, New South Wales -- in the highly disturbed valley bottom of the Goulburn River near the Spring Gully Camping Area. This is one of the real nuisance plants for sticking in your socks, bootlaces, etc, present in most types of grassland. It's regarded as an Australian native though its relationship with some northern hemisphere species warrants further study.
