Gardenia Bee Hawk Moth (Cephonodes kingii)

This is what emerged from the rescued caterpillar pupa, at 3:30AM this morning. Woke me up with quite a start, wondering what the hell this thing was humming around my bedroom! It eventually settled down and landed on my bed, where I was able to coax it onto my finger for a photo shoot, before releasing it outside.
