Tailed Swordsedge (Lepidosperma urophorum)

Jenolan Caves, New South Wales -- on rocky ridge above caves south of Lucas Rocks. See notes under other shot of this. This shot shows spikelets in flower, sheathed by blackish or dark brown bracts. Inflorescences of some plants are branched like this, while on others they are unbranched.
