This bird was getting into a tiz over its reflection in a shop porch. "At first glance these birds look like slightly shrunk-down Magpies. They have a smaller beak than the Magpie, but like the Magpies they will often be seen wandering around on the ground." www.mdavid.com.au/birds/blackandwhitebirds.shtml Apparently its white face and throat identify this one as a female.
