Willow Peppermint is a small to medium sized tree with persistent, rough bark to small branches. The bark is fibrous, coarsely fissured longitudinally, yellowish-brown to grey-brown with red-brown underlayers. Adult leaves are stalked, narrow-lanceolate, to 13-12 cm long, 1 cm wide, concolorous and dull, grey-green. White flowers appear in late summer to early autumn. This tree is very widely planted as an ornamental in south-eastern Australia, the fine, dense foliage being particularly attractive.
