Branched Comb Fern (Schizaea dichotoma): etiolated form

© Pete The Poet

Growing under a waterfall in full shade. Etiolated form. Nearby are mature Psilotum nudum, the leaf at the bottom left is from a Coachwood. The fronds are flat, glossy and about 1 to 2 mm wide, and very thin. They end with raised-up curls. The original stem is thinner than the fronds at the end. At the bottom right is a fruit capsule of the Coachwood.
