King of the coquina.
Merritt Island, Florida, USA. A brown anole (Anolis sagrei) perched upon a coquina boulder proclaims his territory by displaying a colorful dewlap. Unfortunately, this invasive species has severely harmed populations of the native green anole, Anolis carolinensis.
