Distinguishing features

A silver fish with bronze tint in certain light, many small dark spots on sides. A noticeable white spot at top of gill cover. Lower lobe of tail fin yellowish with a narrow white border. Tip of anal fin also pale.

  • Lizard Island: Small specimens (to 40 cm) frequently seen near Casuarina Beach.
