Distinguishing features

A small silver fish with a yellowish sheen; a brown line through eye that extends from bottom lip to level of pectoral fin insertion; black spot on tail base and a smaller one near rear top of head.

Lizard Island specimens do not seem to have a dark patch on the first dorsal fin that is described for this species.
